The images are kind of weird because of the framing - which is why you should come and see these in person at the Cube Cinema volunteer's art exhibition in Bristol. I'm really happy with these two pieces - they are the most "me" drawings I could possibly make.

Cabaret Poster

Poster for Zuleika Ziegfeld's Cabaret Of Curiosities. I like the theme of it overall but I'm not so happy with the guy's face. It seems a bit juvenile and lacking in depth. Hum.

Further experiments with texture were a success though, as the harris tweed and sacking have come out just as I hoped. I'm beginning to think, though, that as I get more and more involved with digital work I'm going to reach saturation point sooner or later and suddenly start working with inks or watercolours instead. I do like the options afforded by digital colouring but I'm getting the itch to use "real" materials.

Bear + Hammer

I drew a bear with a hammer. For the fur effect, I scanned a towel.
